Tuesday Night River Bends Group Ride (Beginner) Weekly Tuesday night group ride at River Bends Park. Meet behind the Utica Police Station in downtown Utica, which is next to the Utica Library. Meet at 6:30 PM and be ready to roll out at 6:45 PM sharp. This everyone-welcome, no-drop group ride takes place year-round, but attendance varies based on weather conditions. Depending on attendance we may split into A and B groups, with A riding at a bit faster pace. One loop of the trails is about 5.5 miles and the ride usually covers 2-3 laps, but some attendees ride a bit more or less. We regroup at a few points throughout the ride so no one is left behind. This a great opportunity for a beginner to start riding with a group and develop their handling skills on singletrack. This ride takes place year-round, is fat bike friendly, and will only be cancelled for poor trail conditions or wet weather. Check the MMBA Forum or CRAMBA Facebook Page or Group for updates:
Wednesday Night Stony Creek Group Ride (Intermediate) Weekly Wednesday night group ride at Stony Creek Metropark. Meet in the northwest corner of the Stoney Creek High School parking lot at 6:30 PM and be ready to roll out at 6:45 PM. This everyone-welcome, no-drop group ride takes place year-round, but attendance varies based on weather conditions. NOTE: We have changed the meeting location to the NORTHWEST lot to help alleviate parking concerns at the school during after-hours activities. The route taken is approximately 8 miles, covering most of the single track in the park, and can be seen on this map. Due to the technical portions of singletrack that we will cover, this ride is rated as intermediate. You should have experience on technical singletrack and be comfortable navigating obstacles such as log piles, rock gardens, fast descents, and roots. For more information on this ride please visit this thread on the MMBA Forum.
